When assembling a muffler and exhaust pipe, all clamp bolts and the muffler strap bolt should be left loose until all parts are in correct relation to each other. Slight rotation of the muffler may be necessary to properly line up the inlet and outlet pipes. After arriving at correct positioning of all parts, tighten the front muffler and exhaust pipe clamp before tightening the rear and strap bolts.
