SUBJECT—ROCHESTER CARBURETOR IDENTIFICATION
To assist automotive mechanics in a more positive means of identification of Rochester Carburetors a new system is presently being inaugurated.
Model B (Chevrolet) and BC (Chevrolet and Pontiac)
The brass identification tag will no longer be used on these models.
1.     A protruding tab, which is a part of the Air Horn gasket, will now show the last four digits of the Carburetor part number as well as the code date of manufacture.
2.     As a further and more permanent means of identification, once the original Air Horn gasket is replaced, the last four digits of the Carburetor part number will also be stamped on the manifold face or bottom side of the Throttle Body assembly.

Model 4-GC (Oldsmobile and Cadillac)
1.     The brass tag will continue to be used on these units.
2.     In the event the tag is lost, identification may be made by checking the last four digits of the carburetor part number, which are stamped in one corner on the top side of the Air Horn Casting.
